The super cool and super hardy Haworthia, is wonderfully hardy and so easy to take care of.  In the succulent family, but easier to take care of than regular succulents, they are tolerant to almost any condition.  They make a perfect beginners plant and can grow in any light condition and can be watered every couple of weeks or even once a month.  Comes in a cool 4.5" cement tea cup planter and is great as a plant gift!
