A staple anywhere these days, the Sanseveria (or commonly called Snake Plant) is a well known housplant because of it's easy care and hardiness in any condition.  Sanseverias are one of only a small number of plants that can convert carbon dioxide into oxygen throughout the night, making it a great plant for the bedroom. Extremely drought tolerant, it will react poorly to over watering and can survive in low light conditions.
